We’ve been off to a running start since the last blog post and we haven’t slowed down yet. Let me catch you up on what has been happening in our office.
Our office partnered with the School of Medicine to crowdfund for Research Institute for Children’s Health (R.I.C.H.). This campaign lasted for a month with the goal of reaching 250 donors. Mitch Drumm, the institute director, is truly an inspiring man who is making such great strides in medical research. They came so close to reaching their goal at 92% and raised $6,032 during their campaign.
We then took on our first-ever individual student organization crowdfunding campaign: Project 270 with CWRU Greek Life. The goal for this campaign was to raise $270 for the Emergency Dues Fund — a goal that was blown out of the water with a total of just over $5,000 raised from 422 donors!
With the end of the calendar year in sight, we are in our “busy season”. The big project as of late has been preparing for the international movement of #GivingTuesday, which is TODAY November 28. The purpose of this movement takes place after Black Friday and Cyber Monday as a way to put the giving back into the holiday season. This year for #GivingTuesdayatCWRU we have 25 causes that you can support. Check out all of the great causes on campus and witness the amazing support from the CWRU community: http://gvcmp.us/9l9dx9!
